According to historical records Sri Lankan waters are host to over 180 shipwrecks around its coast. While many have been identified & explored, few remains hidden with their story yet to be told. With increasing interest in shipwreck amoung the locals and the influx of foreign divers visiting Sri Lanka - Colombo has become the hotspot. Shipwrecks can be found along the western coastal line due to Colombo being a major port back-in-the-day. Some of the notable shipwreck sites in Sri Lanka are, Taprobane North Wreck in Mount Lavinia, The Conch in Beruwala, the famous H.M.S Hermes in Batticaloa and MV Cordiality in Trincomalee. Dives can be arranged through the dive centre and is carried out through prior reservation.
